Pumpkin Patch
We were able to go to Lucky Ladd's Pumpkin Farm this year. We loved it!! It was huge and had lots of things for Allie to play on and do. There were several slides that had to be a couple of stories high and everyone was going down on potato sacks. They were really fast! Kevin and Allie enjoyed going down. Next year I'm going to try the slides. There was also a hayride, petting zoo, and a little "train" pulled by a tractor for the kids. We spent several hours there playing and hanging out.

a picture at the end of the day.
Lesson learned: If you want a picture take it first. :)

Zoo Ghouls at Grassmere
We went to the Halloween event at the Nashville Zoo. Last year we chose a night where it was so crowded. This year we had better planning and it wasn't crowded at all when we went. We were able to do everything at least once and then Allie got to choose some things to do again. They had a haunted hayride and we rode it twice. The first time Allie offered to hold Kevin's hand so he wasn't too scared and then the second time she offered to hold my hand so I wasn't scared. :) We also trick or treated along the path. There were games to play too. Allie was a little small for the games but we still tried every one. They also had a Monster Mash tent. I think this was Allie's favorite thing to do. She LOVES to dance!!! This event is so much fun and we always have a good time.

Pumpkin Carving
We had a good time pumpkin carving this year. Allie helped choose the design, clean out the pumpkin, and make the guide dots for Kevin to using while carving.

Halloween Night
Allie dressed up as Minnie Mouse and Leah was a bumblebee for Halloween. Leah didn't like her costume at all. We tried it on her a few weeks before Halloween and it was a little big so we thought it would be fine on Halloween. Well, it was too small. Leah has grown so much. So when I tried to put her costume on her she started crying after about 5-10 mins. By the time we were about to go trick or treating with Kevin, she really wouldn't put on the costume for me. I told Kevin she wouldn't wear it and he said hand me the costume and Leah. I left the room to do something and when I came back Leah was smiling and wearing the costume. Can we say Daddy's girl? :)
We first went over the Grandma and Pa's to have dinner and then trick or treat a little with some cousins. Allie, Leah, and I only stayed for a little bit and then headed home to trick or treat with Daddy. Some of the people in our neighborhood really get into Halloween. They decorate their front porches and some are pretty scary. Allie was really brave and went up to every house by herself to get her candy. At one point she told Kevin that Halloween was suppose to be scary. Allie got so much candy. We had to empty her pumpkin into a bag because it got to heavy for her to carry. We had a great night!!!
