From the Mouths of Babes:

Leah is full of quotes. She makes us all laugh so much!

-Allie and I explained Santa's good and naughty list to Leah. She announced that she is on the naughty list and started laughing hysterically. I told her that kids on the naughty list do not get toys from Santa. Leah said even louder and prouder that she is on the naughty list.

- Leah kept saying "you're not Allie." Allie said "Yes I am." Leah would then say "No." This kept going back and forth and each time that Leah said "you're not Allie; Allie would said "YES I AM!" even more enthusiastically. Leah just kept saying "No."

-We built a fort out of blankets in the living room. The girls wanted to spend the night and since there was no school the next night we said yes. I was trying to encourage sleeping since they were having a hard time calming down. I said "let's place quiet mouse. First person that talks losses." It was quiet for about 5 seconds and then Leah said really loud "HELLO" and then starts laughing.

These are just a few quotes.

Our new 2 year old!!

Leah had a great birthday!! On her actual birthday she opened her presents from Dad and Mom and then headed to Chick-Fil-A. They were so nice. When the employee heard that it was Leah's birthday she went and blew up 2 balloons and brought us a large milkshake. Leah loved the balloon and the milkshake. I think she also liked everyone having to ask her if we could have another sip. :)

Leah's party was the following Saturday. She was able to get a good nap before everyone arrived. While she was sleeping, Allie and I decorated and Kevin and Allie went to get the balloons. Once Leah was awake she was really excited! She got her hat and blower and decided to wait outside for the guests. The party was a lot of fun! Leah enjoyed having everyone over to celebrate!

Allie's 5th Birthday

Family Celebration

For Allie's birthday dinner she chose to go to Chuck E Cheese. We had a great time! Before we left she opened her presents from Daddy and Mommy. Allie's main gift was a bike! We immediately went outside to try it out. It took a little practice but she has gotten really confident and pretty fast. We are so proud of her!

Allie's Party

This was the year for Allie to have a big party with family and friends. She decided to have a butterfly party. We had the party at a park and decorated wings and visors (thanks again to Bess). There was also games and face painting. It was a big success! Allie loved it and I'm pretty sure the kids had fun too. :)

Leah Counting

From the Mouths of Babes:

Leah:

-Mama is big!

-The girls were running and getting kinda wild while we were at Lowe's for the kids clinic. I stopped them and we had a talk in a quiet corner. I said "We aren't going to run or be wild. If you girls don't stop, we will leave without doing the clinic." I felt like I was pretty stern and that they got the message. So, then I said "Are we going to run and be wild?" Allie said "No." Leah yelled "YES!!!" I guess Leah didn't quite get the message.

-I helped at Allie's school one day for about 1 hr. Leah came with me because she loves eating lunch and playing on the playground with the big kids. Well after lunch I was cleaning up and getting ready to go outside, several kids were surrounding Leah and kinda pulling on her and hugging her (they were being nice) but she didn't like it. Leah yelled "No touching!" and walked away. Allie was a great big sister and helped Leah. She then started telling everyone not to touch Leah.

-Allie was having an End of the Year Party. It was going to be mainly outside. On the way to school, it was sprinkling a little. Allie started chanting "Boo rain! Boo rain! Boo rain!" Leah then said "Boo Mama!" Boo Mama!"

Allie:

-For Allie's End of the Year Party, they were going to have a bounce house, water table, sandbox, etc. Allie was telling me all about what they were going to have. I said "Sounds like a lot of fun! Can I come too?" Allie said "No Mama, you can't bounce in the bounce house. You will bounce all the kids out."

Allie loves climbing a tree in our yard. She is getting braver and is going higher. Since I took this picture, she has gone even higher. In this picture her feet are about 6 feet off the ground.

Here is Allie climbing on the snake at the zoo. She did this a few weeks ago and was so proud of herself. I was able to catch her on video this time. It makes me laugh how she scoots herself instead of walking.

Normally, I pushed Leah around on the scooter with both her feet on the scooter. I asked Allie to show her how to ride it. Leah watched her 1 time and then did it. She is getting better but still can't turn so Allie and I help her turn it around. :)

Our girls bouncing on the bed. They have so much fun together!

Allie's P-K Spring Program

Allie had her school program this week. On Thursday they did the program for the parents and then did it again on Friday for the Grandparents. Allie and her class have been working on this for a while and she was so excited for the program. We were so proud of her!

Allie is in the front row on the end. The videos are in the order of the program.

Leah doing her new favorite thing...painting. She likes to paint but she also likes to get paint on the brush and then watch the brush as the paint washes off in the water.

Easter Happenings

Zoo Egg Hunt

Every year we like to go to the Eggstravaganzoo. It is so much fun. They have bounce houses, egg hunts, bunny games, playground and animals (of course). This year it was chilly but still fun. The zoo divides up the egg hunt into ago groups so each of the girls had their own egg hunt. At the end of the hunt, the girls turned in their eggs and got a goodie bag. Inside the bag was candy, sunglasses, and small toys. We spent a lot of the time doing the playground, bounce houses, and bunny games (carry the egg on the spoon, bubbles, and toss the bean bag in the egg). The girls loved playing in the bubbles a lot! The day at the zoo was a lot of fun!

School Egg Hunt

Allie's school had an egg hunt one afternoon. The kids were so excited. They had the egg hunt and then came back into the classroom for a snack. The snack was a cupcake that they decorated themselves. It was a fun party. I enjoyed getting to go and seeing Allie's friends and her classroom. The weather was perfect for a egg hunt that day!!

Church Egg Hunt

Our church had their egg hunt during a weekday so only Leah went. The morning of the egg hunt there was a dusting of snow on the ground. Haha! However, we went to the egg hunt anyway. We did hunt eggs we just wore our coats. Leah had fun playing with her friends and getting to hunt for eggs.

We have had a busy Easter week!!
