A couple of weeks ago, we went to see Kevin parent's in Florida. It was quite a drive. However, both girls did great! Allie sat and read books, colored, and played in the backseat. Leah slept most of the way. We use to have 1 of us ride in the back with Allie to help her get her toys but this time there just wasn't room for someone to ride comfortably in the back between the 2 car seats. It all worked out and the hardest part was when we tried to eat our sausage biscuits in the car. We are going to stick to chicken nuggets or something like that for eating in the car.

We left on a Friday morning and came back on Tuesday. It was such a nice visit. The weather wasn't the best (as you can tell in the pictures) but we made the most of it. It was really windy but the water was pretty warm. So, once you got wet you were a little chilly but Allie didn't seem to care. She would just wear her cover up after she got wet.

Allie loved chasing the waves, building sandcastles, and digging holes where the tide was coming in. We also walked along the beach looking for treasure. Bess had a few things for Allie to do back at the house. One of her favorites was a treasure hunt around the house. She had to find the clues and then figure out where to go next to get her gold coin. Allie loved this and since then we have played treasure hunt around our house a few times. When I just now asked Allie what her favorite thing was about going to Florida, she said "fruit loops!" Sometimes it's the little things. Haha.

Leah went to the beach once because it was so windy she didn't go back. Pop said he would stay back and hold/take care of Leah on Sunday while Kevin, Allie, and I went to the beach. Then on Monday Kevin and Leah hung out while Allie and I went to the beach.

We had a great time!
