Here are more pictures from our backpacking trip. The first picture is one of the views we saw on our way to Rocky Top. We decided to stop here and eat a snack. It was so beautiful. The next picture is of campsite #10. It was a smaller campsite with only room for 2 tents. Kevin is getting ready to start the fire so we can cook our food. Our tent is in the background. We always tried to set up our tent away from the fire since we were in bear country. The 3rd picture is of our tent. It is a little longer than 6 ft long and about 4 ft wide. It is just big enough for both of us to lay in. It is not tall enough to sit in. This tent is pretty light to carry and rolls up small so we can carry it in our backpack. The 4th picture is of a toad. We saw a lot of these along the trail because we followed a creek most of the way. The last picture is of the bear trap that was in the picnic area at Anthony Creek Trailhead. We were in bear country, and there were plenty of signs posted to warn everyone. Kevin and I were very careful with our food. We washed every dish and piece of trash that might smell and then put it in a Ziploc bag. Luckily, we didn't see any bears on the trail. However, we did get to see 2 black bears frolicking in a field on our driving tour as we left! We stopped and got some pictures of them. We would have posted them here, but they only showed up as a few black pixels in the tall grass. oh well!
