Winter Wonderland in Nashville

Allie sledding in our neighbor's backyard

Mommy and Allie after going down the hill

Enjoying some hot chocolate to warm up

Last Saturday, we woke up to about 1-2 inches of snow. So, we all bundled up and went outside. There had been a little snow on the ground since Thursday so this wasn't Allie's first time this year to be in the snow. However, it was her first time to go sledding. In our neighbor's backyard there is a small hill...just the right size for Allie to sled down. We headed over there after making a snow angel and trying to make a snowman. The snow wasn't wet enough to make a snowman.

Allie enjoyed going down the hill with Daddy. She went a couple of times with Mommy but afterwards she would say Daddy until we got to the top of the hill. Some things are more fun with Daddy. So, I helped Allie up the hill and would give them a push. Kevin and I tried to let Allie go down the hill by herself but the sled just wouldn't go. She didn't weigh enough and the hill wasn't steep enough for her sled alone. We were all out there about 30 mins and then Allie was ready to go in. She was done sledding and playing in the snow. After coming in, I told her it was now time for the best part of sledding...hot chocolate! While watching tv, we all warmed up with a cup of hot chocolate with LOTS of marshmellows.
