 Our Birthday Girl!

Leah's 1st birthday party went great. She was a little unsure why everyone was coming over to our house and telling her Happy Birthday! However after a little bit she warmed up to being the center of attention. We had a Minnie Mouse Party. After singing Happy Birthday, we gave her a piece of cake and ice cream. She just played with it and then decided to try some after I gave her a bite. I think she liked it a lot! Leah had lots of help opening presents. Allie opened a lot of the presents because Leah kept wanting to play with the new toys. I was glad everyone could make it.

A new tradition at our house is that on your birthday you get to wear the birthday button all day. As soon as Leah woke up we put on her birthday outfit (thanks Sybil!) and the birthday button. When I put the button on her she started giggling. She knew it was special. We had a few errands to run and as we were walking through the store Allie was calling out to everyone that it was Leah's birthday. Leah got lots of extra attention! We then went to the library for story time and to play on the playground. Both girls had a lot of fun. We normally go out for our birthdays but since Leah's was on a Wednesday we just went for ice cream after church. Leah got to eat as much as she wanted. Then we went home and opened presents. Leah loved playing with her new baby doll and the activity table. Leah had a great birthday!
